Understand
Learn what red and near-infrared light are, what the measurements mean and where research has limits.
Prime Shift Education Hub
Clear, practical red light therapy education for men 35+ who want to understand the technology, compare the Move range and build a consistent wellbeing rhythm - without hype or exaggerated promises.
Your starting point
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is the research term commonly used for the interaction of red and near-infrared light with biological tissue under defined conditions. The wavelength, irradiance, distance, exposure time, body area and device all matter.
Learn what red and near-infrared light are, what the measurements mean and where research has limits.
Compare coverage, wavelength bands, setup and exact-model guidance - not LED count or electrical wattage alone.
Choose the Move that fits your space, then build a Prime Shift Rhythm you can realistically maintain.
Built around life after 35
Red and near-infrared light do not become different at 35. What often changes is the context: work, training, family, sleep, recovery and the time available for looking after yourself.
Prime Shift brings the panel, plain-English education and a 30-day habit framework into one clear system designed for men who want to stay active and in control of their next chapter.
Move is designed to sit alongside movement, strength work, sleep and nutrition. It does not replace them.
The most impressive specification is wasted if the format, setup or routine is too difficult to maintain.
Know what is in your panel, understand what can be measured and follow the guidance for your exact model.
One system. Three formats.
Start with the space you have, the area you want to cover and the routine you can realistically maintain.
Compact
A focused entry into the Move system for a smaller footprint and straightforward home routine.
Broader coverage
A larger-format option for men who want greater coverage, with a mobile wheeled stand for flexible positioning at home.
Largest format
The largest Move format for broader home coverage, with a mobile wheeled base for flexible positioning.
Move Pro in context
Move Pro is the largest format in the range. Its panel body measures 91 × 29.8 × 6 cm and sits on a wheeled base for easier positioning within a dedicated home space.

PBM in plain English
LEDs emit defined wavelength bands. Wavelength is measured in nanometres (nm); it identifies the light, not a guaranteed benefit.
PBM research examines how red and near-infrared light interact with tissue under controlled conditions, including cellular signalling and energy metabolism.
Irradiance, distance, exposure time, body area and individual differences all matter. More power or more time is not automatically better.
What you see Red wavelengths are visible and appear illuminated.
What may look unlit Near-infrared sits beyond normal human vision, so active LEDs can appear dim or off.
The Prime Shift spectrum
Wavelength is measured in nanometres (nm). It identifies a band of light; it does not, by itself, guarantee a particular personal result.
More wavelengths do not automatically mean a better result. Panel size, output measured at a stated distance, controls, session guidance and a routine you can maintain all matter. The CIE commonly places IR-A at 780-1,400 nm, which is why the 810-940 nm bands are described here as near-infrared.
Move Digital
Five red and near-infrared wavelengths in the smallest Move format.
Move Plus
A 180-LED step-up format with seven wavelength bands, digital controls and a mobile wheeled stand.
Move Pro
A 300-LED format with seven wavelength bands and a mobile wheeled base.
Irradiance and distance
Irradiance is the radiant power arriving at a surface per unit area, normally stated for panels in mW/cm². It is not the same as the panel’s electrical wattage, and it is only meaningful when the measurement distance and test conditions are stated.
Important: session distance, duration and settings must come from the instructions for your exact Prime Shift Move model.
Evidence without the hype
Wavelength, radiant power, irradiance and exposure time are physical quantities. They should not be replaced by vague claims such as “stronger is always better”.
NIST radiometry guideOptical absorption and scattering vary with wavelength and between people. A simple graphic cannot promise one fixed penetration depth for everyone.
Human skin optical studyLED count and supplier-rated output describe the device. They do not prove that an individual will experience a particular health or performance result.
CIE infrared definitionBuy with your eyes open
A premium panel should be easy to understand before it arrives. Compare the information that shapes real-world use, not just the largest number on a product page.
Look for the exact nanometre values. More bands do not automatically mean a better personal result.
An irradiance figure without its stated distance and test conditions is incomplete.
Choose around the space you have and the area you want to position in front of the panel.
Check the stand or base, controls, timer, cables, eye protection and exact contents for that model.
Look for a clear manual, warranty terms and a real support route when you need help.

Use Move responsibly
Keep the supplied manual and use it as the final authority for your model.
Read and retain the manufacturer manual before using your panel.
Use a secure position and keep all ventilation openings unobstructed.
Do not stare into the LEDs. Follow the manual’s eye-protection instructions.
Keep the panel, controller, remote and cables dry and inspect them before use.
Do not exceed the stated duration, distance or frequency for your exact panel.
Seek appropriate professional advice when a condition or medication may increase light sensitivity.
Prime Shift Move products are intended for general wellbeing routines and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Stop use if you experience an unexpected adverse reaction and seek appropriate advice.
Straight answers
Clear guidance for the questions that most often create uncertainty.
Photobiomodulation, usually shortened to PBM, is the research term commonly used for studying how defined red and near-infrared light exposures interact with biological tissue. It does not mean every device or dose produces the same result.
Near-infrared light is largely outside normal human vision. Follow your model’s display and operating instructions rather than judging output only by visible brightness.
No. LED count is one device specification. Coverage, wavelengths, irradiance at a stated distance, controls, included setup and the space available all matter.
No. Output, controls, modes and supplier instructions can differ. Use the guidance supplied with your exact model.
No. Prime Shift does not provide diagnosis or medical treatment. Speak to a qualified healthcare professional about health concerns.
Switch off, unplug and allow it to cool. Follow the cleaning instructions in the supplied manual and never spray liquid directly onto the panel or controls.
Prime Shift Move includes a two-year Prime Shift warranty, subject to the warranty terms supplied with your order.
